Background
In November 2024, the MSAD 31 School Board voted to begin the process of withdrawing from AOS 43. Since then, MSAD 31 and MSAD 41 Boards have worked together to finalize the AOS 43 Termination Plan.
The plan was submitted to the Maine Department of Education (MDOE) in December and received official approval from the Commissioner of Education on December 30, 2024.
You can review the approved plan:
On the district website here.
By visiting the Central Office for a paper copy.
Upcoming Vote
When: February 12, 2025
How: By written ballot. Check with your local town offices for polling hours.
A referendum vote is required for each community participating in AOS 43. If a majority in either district votes to approve the withdrawal, AOS 43 will dissolve as outlined in the Termination Plan.
