Everyone Counts

To our ESS families, as the glittery excitement of the first days of school fades and the little things that make it hard become more visible, please be sure to keep those back to school routines in place by ensuring your kiddos come to school everyday.

When students miss school for any reason, there are gaps in learning (and friendships).

Missing less than 2 days of school a month is a strong predictor of success.

The more gaps you have, the harder it gets.

Please tread lightly on taking a day off when it might feel too hard. That could make it even harder to come the next day. Build routines, practice coping strategies, and partner with us to support your kids through the tough times. We are your extended family at ESS–we can help.

To celebrate and maintain our great attendance, ESS is participating in Everyone Counts,  hosted by Count ME In Maine. Each day the classrooms who have 100% attendance, will be entered into a monthly drawing for classroom materials, such as recess, classroom, and learning supplies. Box of Maine will also be giving away a classroom kit!

Please support our school, the kiddos, and our teachers by having great attendance!
